We are seeking a strategic, visionary Executive Director with a passion for education policy to lead its California region. The Executive Director will have overall management responsibility for running the State Fellowship program and legislative advocacy work, deepening teacher-led professional development, and building partnerships and relationships in the California education community – all with a particular emphasis on expanding the funding base. The Executive Director will be well positioned to expand the fellowship and take on other issues that teachers are passionate about that could be layered into the existing work. S/he will lead a small team and together continue to elevate teacher voice and create additional opportunities for teacher leaders to engage on critical policy issues.
We're hiring a California Program Coordinator who will support teacher directed communications around the State Fellowship, Teacher-Led Professional Learning work, and other customized policy and instructional practice work. In addition, the California Program Coordinator will support the basic management and operations for all programs, and will include opportunities for professional growth in education policy and non-profit management.
We're hiring a Massachusetts Policy Manager who will have overall management responsibility for running the Policy Fellowship program and the Massachusetts Statewide Policy Fellowship program, growing a grassroots teacher advocacy network, and building partnerships and relationships in the Massachusetts education community. The Massachusetts Policy Manager will be a credible broker between teachers and policy makers leveraging partnerships in the city in order to lay the groundwork for teacher voice and create opportunities for teacher leaders to have influence on critical issues.
