Our fellows have been busy working on issues of teacher preparation programs, the school to prison pipeline, and the recruitment and retention of teachers of color. Using our Teacher VoicesBoulder Valley Fellow Mary Rose Donahue wrote this piece about the impact of the Marshall fire and why educators should prepare for more climate emergencies and how the state and federal government can support teachers and students. KIPP teacher and Fellow Veronica Bell, describes her experience working with elementary students whose mental well-being has been challenged by the pandemic in this article.
