High school teacher selected for prestigious fellowship program

Victoria Apodaca-Fisk, a high school teacher at New America School-Las Cruces, (pictured above center with her students) has been selected for the 2019 Teach Plus New Mexico Teaching Policy Fellowship program.

Community snapshot: Victoria Apodaca-Fisk, a social studies teacher at the New America School-Las Cruces, has been selected to join the 2019 Teach Plus New Mexico Teaching Policy Fellowship. The mission of Teach Plus is to empower excellent, experienced teachers to take leadership roles in key policy and practice issues that affect their students’ success. Teach Plus selected Fisk from a large pool of high-quality candidates. Her overall application and interview was judged to be of the highest standard from among qualified candidates.
