Erin Fitzgerald-Haddad is a 2019-20 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Erin teaches 7th grade math at San Fernando Institute for Applied Media (SFIAM) Pilot Middle School, a school she co-founded. Erin serves on the school’s governing council, instructional leadership committee, and is the mathematics department chair. She represents her teachers as UTLA Chapter Chair and was elected to the UTLA House of Representatives. She co-chairs the UTLA autonomous schools committee. Erin was recognized by her union with the UTLA Platinum Apple award in 2017 and as Educator of the Year by Educators for Excellence with the Rebel Award. Erin earned her BA and her MEd from California State University, Northridge.
