Ron Anaya is a 2018-19 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow.  Ron teaches 9th grade world geography at Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (WSCA) in Rocklin, California. He founded and advises a DECA chapter at WSCA, whose student-run store has been nationally recognized for excellence, an accolade entered into the Congressional record by Rep. Tom McClintock. Ron has previously served as the English department chair, coached varsity baseball and volleyball, and served on the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) team. He is an active member of his community, serving on the Education Advisory Council for the 6th assembly district of California, a member of Post 169 of the American Legion (Roseville), and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Ron received his BA in History from the University of North Carolina Charlotte and completed his graduate work at UC Davis.
