Tracy Edwards is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Nevada Policy Fellow. Tracy teaches 5th grade English language arts at Odyssey Charter Schools in Las Vegas, where she develops curriculum for ELA and science. Tracy has held various positions in the public school sector, including instructional coach and department chair. She has served as lead curriculum designer and professional development specialist for DePaul University/Digital Youth Network in Chicago, where she assisted in the design and implementation of an online writing curriculum for elementary schools throughout the city. Tracy has worked as a teacher in the United Arab Emirates, where she focused on enhancing English Language Learners instruction through meaningful use of technology. She is a board member at the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Las Vegas Chapter and serves as a mentor for College of Southern Nevada (CSN)’s Nevada Promise Scholarship program. Tracy earned Bachelors degree in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana and her EdD in Learning Technologies from Pepperdine University where she published her dissertation, “The Impact of Online Professional Development on Teacher Classroom Practices.”
