Amy Fleig is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Colorado Teaching Policy Fellow. Amy is the 504 coordinator and accommodations coach at Compass Montessori School, supporting pre-K through 12th grade teachers to work with special needs students. Prior to this, Amy spent four years teaching 4th-6th grade at Compass. She serves as a staff representative on Compass’s board of directors, has been an active member of the school’s systems and structures strategic planning committee, participates in her community’s diversity, equity, and inclusion committee, and orchestrates a yearly service event for 150 Compass elementary students. Amy earned a BA in Psychology of Education and her elementary teaching license from Colorado College and her MEd in Educational Psychology: Applied Developmental Science from the University of Virginia.
