Susan Cerza is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Senior Policy Fellow who is a diagnostic self-contained early childhood special education teacher at Joseph E Hill Early Childhood Center in Evanston. Susan is a member of the district evaluation team as the special education play facilitator and Early Intervention Transition Coordinator. She’s also served as the senior self-contained cross-cat ECSE teacher, co-chair of the school Inclusion Committee and member of the district’s Professional Development, Wellness, and Professional Evaluation Committees. Susan is a National Board Certified Teacher in Exceptional Needs. She earned her BM in Voice from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, her MM in Voice from Bowling Green State University, and her MEd in Early Childhood Special Education from Elmhurst University as well as credentials in English Language Learners, LBS 1, and is working towards a certification in Early Childhood Mental Health.
