Elizabeth Flores is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow and 6-12 grade physical education teacher at Aldine Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Houston. She serves as the electives department chair and social-emotional learning champion. Elizabeth was named Young Women’s Leadership Academy/Houston Area Alliance of Black School Educators Teacher of the Year (2022–2023), received the Young Women’s Preparatory Network Educator of Excellence Award (2024–2025), and was honored as the Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year (2025). She is president of the Aldine chapter of the Texas State Teachers Association/Association of Texas Professional Educators and is a former area chair. Elizabeth earned a BS in education from Sam Houston State University and MEd in educational administration from Lamar University.
