James Voci is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Commonwealth Teaching Policy Fellow. James is a high school math teacher at East Boston High School. James was a mentor, instructional coach, and Founding Teaching Fellow Advisor with KIPP: MA, and has taught at both the middle school and high school levels, from grades 6 through 12. A Teach For America alum, James has been a corps member advisor, curriculum specialist, and math learning team leader. James was a recipient of the 2018 Sontag Prize for Urban Education. He earned a BA in History and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a MEd in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University.
