Lashonda Huff

LaShonda Huff is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow. LaShona teaches 8th grade language arts at Clifford Pierce Middle School in Merrillville, IN. She is a sponsor of the Academic Spell Bowl, school newspaper, and S.T.A.N.D. Club (a social and diversity club). LaShonda previously taught 3rd-8th grades at Aspire Charter Academy. She has co-led a workshop titled, “Middle School in Motion: Managing Workshops in Middle School,” and created curriculum with the goal of “100 percent technology, 90 percent of the time.” LaShonda earned her BA in physical education from Valparaiso University and her elementary and secondary certification from Calumet College of St. Joseph’s.
