La’Tonya Fairley is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Change Agent Teacher Leader. La’Tonya teaches middle school literacy to diverse learners at Paul Cuffe MST School. La’Tonya is an active member of the school’s instructional leadership team, serves as her school’s data coordinator, and works as an after-school support liaison. La’Tonya has worked in several positions throughout CPS since 2000. She has been a literacy coach at multiple schools and a district reading specialist supporting 13 different Chicago Public Schools. La’Tonya has worked with the state of Illinois as a professional development provider under the Reading First grant. She graduated from Governors State University with a BA in Elementary Education and from Chicago State University with an MA in both Reading Education and General Administration.
