Leah Jowers is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Change Agent Teacher Leader. Leah is a diverse learner educator for grades 1-3 and education/disability coordinator for the Head Start program at The Montessori School of Englewood Elementary School. Leah was previously the education/disabilities coordinator for the Chicago Youth Center, where she managed nine sites and provided professional development to more than 100 individuals. Leah graduated with a BA in Political Science from the Detroit Institute of Technology, holds a Certification in Early Childhood Education from Chicago State University and an MA in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, and is pursuing her doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis.
