Melody Chiang is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Illinois Teaching Policy Fellow. Melody is an 8th grade social studies teacher at Edison Middle School in the Champaign, Illinois’ Unit 4 school district. She serves on the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Team, is a facilitator for her district’s professional development sessions, and is a member of the district’s middle level rubric writing team. Melody has taught English through several programs, teaching brief sessions in China, Taiwan, and Japan. She holds a BA in History and Illinois Professional Educator License in Social Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
