Nicki McGowan is a 2019-2020 Teach Plus Indiana Change Agent Teacher Leader. Nicki is the literacy coach at Eleanor Skillen 34, where she also serves as the school testing coordinator, dyslexia law designee, and co-leader of the MTSS (multi-tiered systems of support) committee. Nicki completed her Special Education certification through Vanderbilt University, her Reading Recovery Teacher Leader certification from the Ohio State University, and is ABD in Curriculum and Instruction through the University of Northern Iowa. She graduated from Belmont University with a BS in Elementary Education and received her MEd in Administration from Trevecca University.
