Shanna Pierce is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and 9-12 grade math teacher at Phillips High School in Chicago. She serves as a member of the Professional Personnel Leadership Committee. She previously served as a grade-level lead, Instructional Leadership Team member, and department chair. Shanna completed the Stanford University Hollyhock Fellowship (2016-2017), Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program (2024), and Transatlantic Outreach Program STEM study tour (2025). She is a National Board Certified Teacher in adolescent and young adult mathematics. Shanna earned a BA in mathematics from Concordia University Chicago and MAT in secondary education from National Louis University.
