Sarah Tredway

Sarah Tredway is a 2020-21 Teach Plus Texas Senior Policy Fellow. She is the lead Literacy Lab Instructor at Baker-Ripley Elementary School in Southwest Houston, supporting written and oral language skills through play-based learning for Kindergarten – 2nd grade and creative writing for 3rd- 4thgrade. She previously taught English as a Second Language Kindergarten at Baker-Ripley. She serves on the district’s Teacher Leadership Board where she coaches Kindergarten – 2nd grade teachers and leads district-wide professional development. She has been recognized for her outstanding results for students and her community as a 2019 Kinder Excellence in Teaching award recipient, 2020 Rising Star Elementary Finalist for the Excellence in Educator Award by HEB, and 2020 Martel Early Childhood Educator Award recipient. She graduated from Kansas State University BS in Psychology and Sociology and earned her MA Teaching in Early Childhood Education with distinctions from RELAY- Graduate School of Education.
