Tonnett Davis is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Tonnett teaches 7th grade math at Ogden Academy, where she is the boys basketball coach and behavior reflection program creator and manager. She has held previous leadership positions as 3rd grade team leader, math department chair, FLAG team co-leader, and POD Leader. Tonneet has taught grades 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7. While serving in Plano ISD, she had the highest 5th grade math scores on STAAR testing for the district during the 2015-2017 school years. She received her BS in Sociology from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX, her MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a Math Emphasis from The University of Texas at Arlington, her Teacher Certification from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and EdD in Teacher Leadership from Concordia University in Portland.
