Briana Morales is a high school English teacher and Teach Plus Illinois Senior Policy Fellow. Briana is a member of her school’s data, building leadership, and competency-based education leadership teams and a founding writing teacher of a district program to help students earn a diploma instead of a GED. As a Teach Plus Policy Fellow, Briana was instrumental in advocating for the successful passage of the state’s Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning Standards through an op-ed she published. Briana is a recipient of the Early Career Educator of Color Leadership Award from the National Council of Teachers of English.
