Andrea Aguilera is a State Program Coordinator for Teach Plus. In this capacity, she manages recruitment and selection and supports the Teaching Policy Fellowship in states across the country, with a focus on Nevada and Texas. Andrea joined Teach Plus after working at the College Board as a graduate fellow on the Global Policy & External Relations Team analyzing federal policy and impact on funding programs at the state level. Previously, Andrea managed the recruitment team for KIPP Houston public schools, where she was responsible for strategy and operations for teacher and leadership recruitment. Her journey in education policy began as a Teach for America corps member teaching middle school English language development in Denver. Andrea holds a BS from The University of Texas and a MPAff from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT Austin.
