Texas Program Coordinator

Antonio Sangueza, Jr. joins the Teach Plus Texas team as the Texas Program Coordinator and will be responsible for research project coordination, grant writing and reporting, recruitment and management of the Texas Network, and recruitment and selection. Antonio began his career serving with City Year Seattle and Outward Bound Atlanta as an AmeriCorps member. He later spent three years teaching 8th grade Science and coaching boys basketball at KIPP Academy in Houston, Texas. Before joining Teach Plus, Antonio worked to increase the accessibility of disaster recovery programs as a Harvey Legal Fellow at Texas Appleseed, and reduce schools' reliance on exclusionary discipline practices while working at the Earl Carl institute. 

Antonio earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science at Clayton State University and his JD at the University of Georgia School of Law.
