Yohan Chang (he/him) is the National Policy Manager supporting Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellowship and the national policy work focused on internal collaboration and program implementation. At Teach Plus, Yohan has supported publishing the brief, The Rate of Retention: A Proposal for an Indiana Report of Teacher Supply and Demand advocating for greater transparency and accessibility in Indiana's teacher retention data. Yohan also supported the publishing of On The Path to Graduation Pathways: Teacher Recommendations on the Implementation of Indiana’s New Graduation Requirements, a brief highlighting best practice and lessons learned for ongoing implementation of the new graduation requirement policy across Indiana.
Yohan taught on the west side of Chicago and served as an AmeriCorps member in City Year Chicago. Following teaching, Yohan transitioned into nonprofit work as the College Access Associate working with high school juniors to help them envision their success in college in an organization called Pass With Flying Colors. In 2017, he relocated from Chicago to Indianapolis and worked as the Program Assistant at Center for Leadership Development. Yohan earned a BA in Classics at Knox College and an MA in Teaching at National Louis University.
