Teach Plus New Mexico Names Teachers to Teach Plus Teaching Policy Fellowship

The New Cohort Includes 16 Teachers from Across the State

Albuquerque, NM – Teach Plus New Mexico has selected 16 highly-effective teacher leaders from around the state as Fellows of its third New Mexico Teaching Policy Fellowship.  During the ten-month program, Fellows will work on key state-level issues, such as funding for at-risk students, teacher recruitment and pipeline, and high quality professional development for New Mexico’s educators.  The program empowers teachers to magnify the impact they have in their classrooms through personal interactions with education leaders and opportunities to advocate for policies that will better serve New Mexico teachers and students.  The new cohort includes 16 educators from across New Mexico.

“In the past two years, Teach Plus and Teach Plus teachers have demonstrated the positive change that well-informed and solutions-oriented educators can achieve on behalf of their students and the profession,” said Hope Morales Teach Plus New Mexico State Director.  “We’re looking forward to another impactful year ahead and to helping shape policies that improve education for New Mexico students.”
