Teach Plus Michigan and the entire Teach Plus community are heartbroken by the news of the shooting at Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan today. We extend our deepest condolences to the students, teachers, and families affected. Schools should be safe and nurturing places for learning, where students and teachers do not ever have to fear for their lives. We call on public officials to immediately focus on identifying strategies to ensure that a tragedy like this never happens again. Our children and educators deserve no less.
