Teach Plus Texas and the entire Teach Plus community are heartbroken by the news of the shooting at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas today. We extend our deepest condolences to the teachers, students, and families affected. Schools should be safe and nurturing places for learning; students and teachers should never have to fear for their lives at school. We call on public officials to engage teachers in identifying strategies to ensure that a tragedy like this never happens again. Our children and educators deserve no less.
