Since beginning our work in 2011, Teach Plus California has supported the growth of over 400 Educator Leaders through its policy fellowships and teacher led professional learning and practice programs.
Historically, alumni from Teach Plus California fellowship programs have had three key opportunities to continue engagement in the work of Teach Plus: by serving as Senior Fellows for the Policy Fellowship, by serving as EBCAN Alumni Mobilizers, and by participating in additional, less formal leadership and advocacy opportunities shared by the organization.
While these opportunities have been impactful, Teach Plus California sees the need to expand its alumni engagement. By capitalizing on the leadership and advocacy skills of our alumni, it is our goal to ensure that equity-minded, solutions-oriented teacher leaders are driving education change at all levels—responding to opportunities in local contexts, as well as greater state initiatives and efforts.
We also know that alumni engagement must be shaped by alumni, themselves. With this in mind, we are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Teach Plus California Alumni Advisory Board.
