The Teach Plus Colorado Charter Teacher Policy Fellowship is a highly selective leadership opportunity for charter school educators who are ready to deepen their knowledge of education policy and play a role in shaping decisions that affect students, schools, and the teaching profession.
About the Fellowship
- 10-month program starting in August 2025.
- Fellows continue teaching while expanding their influence.
- Monthly 2-hour virtual sessions with guest speakers, advocacy training, and working groups.
- Additional working group meetings and opportunities to engage with policymakers.
- Two in-person retreats to strengthen collaboration and advocacy.
- No prior policy experience required.
Unlocking Impact: The Power of Teacher Advocacy
Fellows receive training and hands-on experience in:
- Understanding education policy as a tool for student success.
- Leading advocacy efforts to improve public education in Colorado.
- Writing op-eds and engaging with the media.
- Providing public testimony and meeting with policymakers.
