Courtney Agee

Courtney Agee is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and part of the Curriculum and Instruction Team for the Laurel School District in Laurel, Mississippi. She provides support for students with dyslexia and reading difficulties. She is the Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education) Director and the Community Lead for the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. Courtney has taught grades 1-3 and has provided dyslexia therapy for students in grades K-8. She has her National Board Certification as a Certified Academic Language Therapist. Courtney obtained her bachelor’s in elementary education and master’s in dyslexia therapy, both from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has a Specialist in Educational Leadership certificate and is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at William Carey University.
