Cynthia Agruso

Cynthia Agruso is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow. Cynthia is an 8th grade math teacher at Agawam Junior High School in Agawam, Massachusetts. She is an integral part of a team that introduced and implemented a successful looping model for 7th and 8th grade students. Her contributions extend beyond the classroom as she actively participates in various educational committees. She has made significant contributions to the Massachusetts MCAS Standard Setting Committee, the CURATE Curriculum Fellowship, and is a PBS WGBY/NEPM Education Ambassador. Cynthia serves as the math department curriculum leader at her school. Her educational qualifications include a BA in economics from the University of Hartford, an MA in mathematics from Western New England University, and a CAGS in educational leadership from American International College.
