Georgi Aguirre is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator, and high school special education teacher/lead and building mentor at Mundelein High School in Mundelein, Illinois. She focuses on students’ literacy needs in the special education continuum and bilingual development in communication to build confidence for post high school training. Past leadership roles include onboarding freshman students with the Link Crew curriculum. Georgi currently serves as board member for a feeder district (2023-2027). She earned her BS in interdisciplinary sciences and education from Barat College, Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement from Roosevelt University, and MSEd in literacy reading education from Northern Illinois University.
