Wanda I. Alamo is a 2022-2023 Indianapolis Equity Change Agent, Spanish immersion program kindergarten teacher, and PLC leader at Forest Glen Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana. She teaches children in the areas of bilingual and bicultural development to create equitable instructional systems. Wanda has served as a kindergarten teacher mentor for the past four years and was a member of the Teacher Leadership Academy Cohort IV 2017-2018 in Indiana. She won the 2021 Golden Apple Award from 8 Wish TV. Wanda began her teaching career in Puerto Rico as a preschool teacher in Head Start. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education and graduated with distinction under the university accreditations, and an MEd in School Counseling and Human Services of the University of Phoenix in Puerto Rico and graduated with distinction under the university accreditations.
