Kim Alegado is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Aspire Teacher Advisory Cabinet Member. She is the 5th grade English language arts and ethnic studies teacher at Aspire Firestone Academy. She is a teacher representative on the equity and culture lead team as well as a lead for the ELA curriculum piloting process for the elementary school level. For her achievements as a master teacher, she was awarded a passion project where teachers were able to pursue one of their passions outside of teaching. With the grant, she created video vlogs using her skills in video editing and filming. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in sociology and film and television and received her MA in education instruction and curriculum from the University of the Pacific.
