Alexandra Melnick is a 2020-21 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow. She is an ELA teacher at Leland High School, in Leland, Mississippi. Alexandra teaches English 3, English 4, SREB College Literature, AP Language and Composition, and AP Literature and Composition. Alexandra is the English Department head and a grant writer for her high school. Alexandra has received the Andrew Mullins award from the University of Mississippi’s School of Education and was the 2019-2020 Leland High School Teacher of the Year. She is a Mississippi Teacher Corps Alumni, and holds a BA in Communications from Millsaps College and a MAT from the University of Mississippi.
