Alexis Smith is a 2020-21 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow. She is an 11th grade English teacher and 10th-12th grade Spanish teacher at South Panola High School in Batesville, Mississippi. Alexis previously taught 9th grade Spanish at Meridian High School in Meridian, Mississippi. Alexis was voted the Most Outstanding Electives Teacher at Meridian High for the 2018-2019 school year. Alexis has a BA in International Studies and Spanish and an MA in Teaching, both from the University of Mississippi.
