Ali Lauer and her Lincoln High colleagues are looking closely at the types of questions they ask their students and scaffolding support for them as they use texts to make claims and support them in their writing across the content areas.  Ali teaches 10th and 12th grade English for the Math, Science, and Technology Magnet at Abraham Lincoln High School.  She currently serves as English department chair and leads the professional development committee. She has been been a  College Board Reader for the Advanced Placement English Literature exam since 2012.  Ali is a recipient of a Target Field Trip Grant, is a College Board AP Fellow, and has been a presenter at the UCLA’s Chancellor’s Conference. She holds a BA in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University, a MA in English from the University of California, Irvine, and an MEd from the University of California, Los Angeles.
