Alicia Jaime-Razo is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow who teaches High School Spanish, Spanish for Heritage Speakers, and AP Spanish at West Campus High School in Sacramento. She is the school’s ELAC coordinator and advisor for the Latino, Movimiento Estudiantil, and Folklorico clubs. Before teaching, she was Latino outreach coordinator at John F. Kennedy High School where she helped students graduate. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a teacher. Every day after school she played “a la escuelita” with cousins and friends, and made her “students” compete to finish their homework. After completing an English Learner Program, she graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a MA in Literature and Linguistics in Spanish.
