Allison Larty is a Teach Plus Indiana Teaching Policy Fellow who teaches Spanish at Shortridge High School. Previously she taught at Noblesvill High School, where she sponsored the American Sign Language club. Allison was a member of the school’s professional development committee and of the standards-based grading cohort. She has previously taught Spanish I-IV at Clinton Central Junior-Senior High School, middle school general music, and middle school and high school choir at Tippecanoe Valley middle and high schools. She also taught secondary choir at The American School of Quito, Ecuador. Allison was a recipient of the 2007 Lilly Endowment Teacher Creativity Fellowship, which she used to study opera in Europe. She graduated from DePauw University with a BA in Music Education.
