Amanda Dunakinis is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow who is an instructional coach at Elizabeth Meyer School in Skokie, Illinois. She primarily works with preschool and kindergarten teachers and related service providers. She plans and implements professional development sessions for staff across her district and is a member of the Academics District Leadership Committee. Previously, she taught first and second grade in Chicago and Baltimore, as well as English Learners in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Amanda is a National Board Certified Teacher and a 2001-2003 Teach For America Baltimore Corps Member. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Psychology, went on to receive her Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins University, and her English as a Second Language Endorsement from National Louis University. She is also endorsed to teach gifted learners.
