Pamela Ames is a 2022-2023 Indianapolis Equity Change Agent, 2nd grade teacher, union representative, and the union discussion secretary at Thompson Crossing Elementary in Indianapolis, Indiana. She focuses on preparing and stimulating her students for the next level all while teaching skills to a variety of students with equally different learning ability levels. She has served as the 2nd and 4th grade chairperson. Pamela completed AirCampUSA training where the ultimate goal was to fly a plane to help share this part of aeronautics with other educators and students. Pamela was named one of Franklin Central’s Academic Top Ten (2015). She began her teaching career in Wyandanch, New York. Since the start of her educational career, Pamela has taught various grades between 2nd and 6th. She earned a B.A. an elementary education prek-6 and a MA in Literacy Prek-12 from Dowling College.
