Breanna Anderson is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a 4th grade teacher at Fairview South District 72 in Skokie. She currently serves on her school’s District Equity Leadership Team. She sponsors the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion club for 3rd and 4th-grade students at her school and has previously served on the social studies and technology district learning teams. She is an alumna of the National SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) Cohort and a member of the 2021-2022 AFT/IFT Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) team for the North Suburban Teachers Union Local 1274. She earned her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa and MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with Advanced Specialization in Learning Behavior Specialist I and English as a Second Language concentration from National Louis University.
