Lacey Anderson is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. She is a social studies educator who teaches American cultures (9th grade), world cultures (10th grade), and Advanced Placement (AP) U.S. History (12th grade) at South Western High School in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Lacey is the adviser of the school’s Diversity Club and co-chair of the district’s Diversity Committee. She began her teaching career in Baltimore County Public Schools as a middle school social studies teacher. Lacey was recognized as a finalist for Teacher of the Year (2021-2022) and as a Rising Star (2015-2016) by the Excellence in Education Committee, as well as a representative on the South Western Education Association Council and member of the Hanover Area Diversity Alliance. She earned her BS in history/public policy and international relations with a minor in French from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, and MS in education from McDaniel College, Westminster, Maryland.
