Andrea Lucas is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Andrea teaches 4th grade at Lamar Elementary in San Antonio ISD, where she is an academic lead teacher, a member of the campus leadership team, and a co-sponsor of the school’s running club. She serves as an instructional leader for project-based learning and social emotional learning. Andrea was the 2017 SAISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, the 2018 Region 20 Teacher of the Year, and was awarded the Trinity Prize for Excellence in Teaching. She graduated from Trinity University with a BA in Economics and a MA in Teaching.
