Sergio Arjon

Sergio Arjon is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow and high school biology teacher at Jersey Village High School in Houston. He participated in the Teacher Leadership Academy and School Leadership Academy through the Houston Independent School District, where he was a teacher leader through the Texas Education Agency. Sergio also is a Master Teacher Fellow through the LEAD Houston program, where he serves as a mentor and cooperating teacher for preservice and early career teachers. He was a professional learning community leader, served as an Achieve180 mentor teacher, and was an Induction Coordinator. Sergio was named campus Teacher of the Year (2017-2018) and Ms. Red Teacher of the Year (2015-2016). He earned his BA in kinesiology from the University of Texas at Arlington and MEd in curriculum and instruction—focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics—from the University of Houston.
