Austin Hawk is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Austin is a founding teacher of the Steele Montessori Academy, where he teaches lower elementary. He is a member of several committees on campus including Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports, Gradebook Development, Teacher Selection, and Campus Leadership Team. Austin is the child study, or Response to Intervention, lead for his grade level. He presented at the Council for the Advancement of Science Teaching Conference in 2016 on integrating technology into science instruction. Austin graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Elementary Education and is pursuing an MS in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
