Frankie Avila is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and 4th grade teacher leader at John Reed Elementary in Rohnert Park, California. He is a mentor to new teachers, and an advocate for multicultural and social justice education on his site leadership team. Frankie was a Circle of Excellence award recipient from Sonoma State University (2023). Prior to teaching, he was a summer camp director for the City of Santa Rosa. Frankie obtained a BA in early childhood studies from Sonoma State University and MA in education from Stanford University.
