Hannah Bagwell is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow. She is a 5th-grade math and science teacher at Florence Elementary in Florence, Mississippi. She previously served on the school leadership team, as a math lead teacher, on the district math assessment team, and as an administrative intern. Hannah was named Utica Elementary/Middle School Teacher of the Year and was a district finalist. Hannah began her teaching career in Hinds County, Mississippi as a Teach for America Corps member and has taught math for grades 2 through 6. She earned her BS in chemistry from the University of Louisville, and an MEd in education leadership and administration from Delta State University.
