| Valentyna Banner is a 2026-2027 California Educator Diversity Action Network (CEDAN) Educator Leader. She is a school administrator and Multilingual Learner Coordinator at San Diego Global Vision Academy in San Diego. Valentyna provides equity and access for all students and promotes visibility, participation, and success for multilingual learners. She has taught grades 3-8, focusing on mathematics and Next Generation Science Standards, and has been a Math Instructional Coach. Valentyna was awarded the Benjamin Banneker Association Award for Exemplary Mathematics Teacher (2019). She is a teaching consultant for the San Diego Area Writing Project and consults for the English Learner Success Forum. She serves as the Access and Equity chair for the Greater San Diego Math Council board. She has taught in teacher preparation programs at SDSU, National University, and San Diego County Office of Education. Valentyna earned a BA in diversified liberal arts, multiple subject teaching credential, and MAEd from the University of San Diego. In addition, she obtained an MEd in teaching K-8th mathematics from San Diego State University, administrative credential from the San Diego County Office of Education, and recently earned a doctorate from SDSU. |
