Claire Bansberg is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a 7th and 8th grade language arts teacher at Attea Middle School in Glenview, Illinois. She works to support integrated SEL initiatives as a member of the school improvement team and writes curriculum development within her department. Claire began her teaching career in the high school classroom, and has taught all middle and high school grade levels over the course of her 11 years in education. Claire serves as Vice President of her district’s union and attends annual IEA and NEA Representative Assemblies as a delegate. She earned a BA in English language and literature at Carleton College, followed by an MS in teacher leadership from Northwestern University.
