Barbara Lindauer is a 2019-20 Teach Plus Illinois Rural Teacher Leader. Barbara is a world geography and U.S. history teacher at Collinsville High School, where she serves as the social studies department chairperson. She is a two-time Teacher of the Year recipient for the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce, a Fulbright Hays Scholar, and the State of IL Smart/Maher VFW Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year for 2015-2016. Barbara is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, the chairman of the Collinsville High School Democracy School Network Team, and a building representative for the CEA Chapter of the IEA/NEA. She received National Board Certification in 2008. She holds a BS in Geography with a concentration in Cartography, an MA in Geography, and an MA in Educational Administration from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
