Sharita Barber-Jerkins is a 2025-2026 Philadelphia Affinity Group Network Facilitator. She is a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and Special Education Compliance Monitor at Overbrook Educational Center in Philadelphia. She began her teaching career in 2008 at the Philadelphia Intermediate Unit and received a Leadership Achievement award from The Institute for Educational Leadership. She earned her BA in psychology from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, MS in vision rehabilitation from Salus University, certification in education of children and youth with visual and multiple impairments from Salus University, and certification in school principalship (PK-12) from Eastern University.
